What's included in the session?
In this personalized session, you'll receive 30 minutes of one-on-one coaching. It's a mom-to-mom, solution-focused brainstorming session. Marianna will work together with you to come up with a plan to solve your biggest parenting challenge.
How are sessions conducted?
Coaching sessions are done over the phone.
What are Marianna's qualifications?
Marianna Chambers is a mom of three kids. She has a bachelor's degree in Communications from Campbell University and a master's degree in Social Work. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a mental health counselor. She's passionate about supporting and equipping moms to parent peacefully and nurture their relationship with their kids. Having a counseling background sets Marianna apart from other coaches, as she has a natural empathetic demeanor and shows unconditional positive regard for her clients.
What's the difference between counseling and parent coaching?
Although Marianna is a counselor, this service is very different from counseling/therapy. Counseling sessions typically address issues from the client's past. In counseling, clients are usually given a diagnosis to report to insurance companies. Clients rarely get to know their counselor, as it is a much more formal therapist-client relationship.
Parent coaching looks at the current, presenting struggle rather than the past. Coaching is action-oriented so that you will have a practical plan in place to help you reach your parenting goals. Parent coaching is less discussion about feelings and more discussion about solutions. Coaching also uses real-life examples to help you shift your thinking toward more positive, peaceful parenting.
What if I need more than one session?
Coaching recipients are encouraged to try the tools given for at least seven days. If you still need support, feel free to schedule another appointment for the time convenient for you.
How do I book an appointment?
Booking is easy! Once you've completed the purchase, you'll be sent an email with intake forms to fill out. When you return these forms to me via email, we will schedule an appointment at a time that is convenient for you.
What happens after I book the appointment?
After you book the appointment, you'll receive an email confirmation. It will contain a short questionnaire that you'll fill out prior to the coaching session. This will help you make the most of your time in the coaching session. You'll also receive information about confidentiality/terms and conditions to review and sign. Please return these forms as soon as possible.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
Marianna will make every effort to re-schedule with you as long as you provide a 24-hour notice. Appointments that are "no show", or canceled without a 24-hour notice are non-refundable.
What if there are no time slots available on the calendar?
If you need an appointment at a time other than what's available on the calendar, or, if all appointment slots are currently full, simply email: firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject "COACHING" and she will respond as soon as possible. Coaching session slots are limited and are on a first come, first serve basis.
Can you provide coaching outside the US?
Sorry, no. Coaching is limited to US residents 18 and older.
